But with this our responsibilities for a sustainable future, our promises to make real fair fashion for both the environment and the makers of our loved products and of course our sourcing strategy businesses for additional suppliers has to grow too.
Portugal – textile experts around the corner —
With these challenges in mind and after some detailed market research and talks we have decided to build up a new partnership with a production company based in our European neighborhood – Portugal. This secures shorter, highly flexible, best quality and above all GOTS certified garments for a better planet and happier clients!
What the hell is GOTS? —
This certificate / organisation (Global Organic Textile Standard) not only has the highest standards for certifying organic textiles but also ensures good social standards for the factory working people – they really do a great job and offer the clients and shops a sense of trust, desire and acknowledgment. The GOTS certified factories are distributed around the world depending on their role in the chain of fashion production. On our search for new production partners only GOTS certified companies were reviewed.
But how did we find the right partner? —
Luckily enough we (Mia / Sunny / Pia / Dad) were able to visit 4 factories in the North of Portugal just before the Corona Crisis reached Europe and could see on first hand how each company worked and above all – lived. It was not just a question of the capacity, price or reliability that they had to offer, but more importantly how the owners felt and how they worked with their employees and last but not least – how they saw and talked to us, as a small, new, individual fashion label. This sense of mutual understanding and our inner-feeling quickly made it clear which of the four candidates was our first choice.

What’s next then? —
Now we have found a small family run and very experienced company to produce (GOTS certified) garments near Porto, we will create a small Eco-Collection with basic items that we know will be much loved by you and prepare the production process with all it’s details and possibilities. We very much hope and expect this new range of certified products to be the start of our efforts to continuously expand our eco-awareness and quality goals.
